The following post is from Fragasm and can be found on our Global Agenda forum. You can talk to our players, who are currently beta testing the game, in our Global Agenda Ventrilo room!
Falling Stairs, Fellsoros and myself are fully participating in the beta the whole month of January. It’s a third-person shooter, but you have to look past that and give it a try. Teamwork is a must in this game, you won’t see any rambo’s running around, not for long anyway. You depend heavily on support from your team, your medics and engies and even your snipers.
The weapons are balanced very well, and they are fun to use. You can be one of four classes: Assault, Medic, Robotics(engy), and Recon(sniper, stealth).
There’s online coop where you can go through missions against A.I. which are actually incredibly hard, even with a solid team. You can jump into PvP queues and enter your team into public matches.
The selling point of this game (for most) right now is the AvA (Agency vs Agency). An Agency is basically a clan you create in game. Your agency can fight for virtual territories and resources etc, we don’t know too much about it yet as it is still in testing.
We’re having a blast with it, watch the video. It’s fast, it’s challenging, and it looks like they did a decent job with the Unreal engine.
Check it out!
Cheers,
Frag/Rox
Brink is another game that we have our eyes on. It’s being developed by Splash Damage, the gurus behind ET and ETQW. It has added in parkour type gameplay ala Mirror’s Edge, but with the team play, class system, and objectives of the Enemy Territory games.
Unfortunately it’s been delayed, again, until Fall 2010 so it’ll be awhile before we know if Splash Damage can bang out another great PC shooter.
